- Cathedrale Hotel Tournai

If it wasn't situated on a place with a lot of bars, which gives a lot of noice in the night, it would be an excellent hotel.
Decent level of English. The manager was great, and would help out if he could, even after the large woman had said ever so politely 'sorry, we can't do this' for the same request.
Smallish rooms with not the highest levels of cleanliness or decor. (Hole in the wall presumably for air conditioning, covered only with tape). My toilet had...

The hotel has a lot of good things: the rooms are nice and proper, the bathroom is well equipped and the breakfast buffet has a lot to offer. But at night their is a lot of noice coming from the square where smokers are laughing till 4 am ! But that isn't the fault of the hotel. The staf is...

This hotel is in the center of the old town. From our room we had a view on the cathedral towers. The halls are under renovation and the carpets are worn but the rooms are spacious and comfortable. The breakfast is a buffet with a large choice and delicious bakery.
Tournai (Doornik) is a lovely small city with limited accommodation options and this is perfectly nice. Only problem is that the website indicates on-street parking is available but it's not readily so: there is a maximum number of hours so if we had wanted to leave a car a full day we'd have been unable to do so. Fortunately we...

This hotel is fine if you just need a place to stay for a night but I wouldn't stay longer. Their information states all rooms have views of the Cathredral - well if you lean out the window and turn your neck to see it then yes it has a view.
The breakfast is plentiful and food ok so that...

This is a nice little hotel, conveniently located close to the main sites and attractions. The room was nice although smelled of cigarette smoke, despite being classed as a non-smoking room. Staff were friendly and overall it was a good stay. The room had coffee making facilities, which is always nice, but had only two tiny little plastic (disposable) cups...

I arrived without a reservation, and found the staff very friendly and helpful. For the price, I thought the room was fine. Nothing special, but very comfortable, with a good bathroom.
The location is excellent, right over the river, but in a quiet square, off the major streets. It is at the edge of the old city (which is uphill),...

A very centrally situated hotel in a lovely compact city. Plenty of restaurants nearby. Hotel is rather basic, but perfectly clean and adequate. Rooms not very large, but well thought out, and they have tea & coffee making and comfortable beds. Staff friendly, as are most of the local people. Reception area very small, ie nowhere to sit and relax...

This hotel was formerly part of the Tulip Chain, but is no longer. Tournai seems ill-equipped to handle tourists, as finding a decent room at a good price was a bit of a challenge. We had booked and received confirmation from another hotel (Aux Armes de Tournai), but when we found it, the windows were painted over, and the place...
