We stayed at the Rubenshof in June 2011. We found it to be a perfect fit or us. Although we had a car, it was close enough to walk to the historic district easily. It is what it is though, for the price and location its a great deal. No elevators (hence the budget hotel designation), but who cares? If... More

Rather like the city of Antwerp, Rubenshof has lots of history and plenty of character, but has become pretty tired and would benefit from some TLC. Room 21 was large, with a small en suite shower room with plenty of towels. The only toiletries were a bar of soap and shoeshine pad. One unpleasant incident was a group of young... More

Over the years, I spent vacations in several hotels in Antwerp, but this quiet Rubenshof is simply the best. The hotel is a landmark from the Art Deco era. All rooms are nicely designed. Large bath rooms. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Great breakfast. Rubenshof is really a traveller's paradise. They are ranked as a 'budget hotel', due... More

We stayed here for one night during a quick weekend getaway, and we were very pleased with the location (5 min tram, 15 min walk to the center...out of the way, but not so far that it was a problem), the grand and quirky building (very authentic old lobby/dining area), our very cheap and clean room (53 euro for a... Like to spend some of our stay in a unique place ( not big chains).so we chose Runenshof while in Antwerp. Rubenshof has an interesting background story which explains some of the decor, painting s and great stained glass windows. Rooms were basic but very clean. Our 2 rooms were spacious. One was more ornate than the other. Both had... More

I would definitely recommend this hotel. Prices are more than fair and it is a very charming place. The rooms are very basic but you have all you need. I stayed in a single room, with shared bathroom, but i did have my own sink. The price was 33 eur. It was quiet and the bed was Ok. The wifi... More
