The reason we stayed here was because the location is great (it's located on the edge of the picturesque Red Light District and only three minutes away from the central train station) and because it's one of the cheapest hostels in Amsterdam. We stayed in the crowded 18 bed dorm, which could certainly used some remodelling and some cleaning. If... More

Paid for an 8 dorm room, got stuck in an 18 dorm room in which my bed was slept in when we arrived, bed very uncomfortable. Internet was non existent. Very run down. It had a 24 hr bar, cheap drink and food and smoking room which was this hostels only saving grace. Staff were friendly.

This is a hostel's hostel. The attitude of the desk staff to the random room mates you may encounter, I really liked this place. They have cheap beer down stairs, and a warm bed to sleep in. This is not a hotel, remember, so no, it wont be spotless. Dont expect to sleep in, or go to bed early either.... More

The hostel was very easy to find from the train station and the location of it couldn't be better. There was 9 of us in a mixed room of 18 and big lockers are available for stuff. The bar downstairs was cracking, the staff were accommodating and the prices were very reasonable! The bathrooms were very spacious and the showers... More

~ Firstly I would actually like to commend the safety of the hostel, maybe it has improved since previous reviews. Anybody not a guest are unable to simply stroll into the hostel, as the only entrance must be buzzed open from deep behind reception by staff, who first check for proof of identity via room information (of which you keep... > Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful > Great location if you're their for coffee shops etc still good if you're there for culture > Exactly what you'd expect for shared dorms, everyone there was friendly and considerate > 24hr bar was a big plus > MUST DO: -Get high and go to the sex museum over the river,... Stayed here last weekend. Was not what i was expecting to be honest. Its location is ideal. Not far from the train station and all the hotspot Amsterdam has to offer. Checked in and the reception staff were all very nice. We were asked if we wished to get a locker. Thought it wouldn't be a bad idea so we... More

I warn all of you...do NOT stay here. This is the most unsafe hostel I have ever stayed in. Anyone could just walk through the bar up to the rooms. The rooms themselves looked like concentration camps. During my stay someone had their bags stolen from the room..meaning a stranger would have just walked straight in from the street, right... More

This place is cheapest in the town. Very good location. Indian guys are running this place. They are very helpful. Very cheap room, 2 Euro Breakfast and1 Euro for Internet(half hour). In breakfast you will get bread, jam, eggs, milk/coffee! But didn't like the rooms at all. Just a bed which was not comfortable. This place is not good for... More

Stayed there for just one night, but it was nice and clean and the spanish girl at the reception was very nice and helpful. They also have a private bar in the ground floor, so it's a good place to meet new people.
