Not all rooms are alike. We had number 5. It was feeling like home, except that this room is much much nicer than home, furnished with nice antiques. A mixture of different periods, but nicely done. it's a beautiful building and everything, but for some reason our impressions spolied a bit when we moved in and it's hard to understand why.. Maybe we had expected something outstanding for #2 rated hotel in Amsterdam. Maybe one needs a 24 hour reception, maybe minibar full of drinks and breakfasts on the ground floor.
