I was really excited about the artist element to this hostel but unfortunately must have landed the most boring possbile room It was very compact, but clean. The hostel in general was ok, I booked an 8-bed dorm, which was separated into 2 4-bed rooms sharing a bathroom. Rooms were clean. The breakfast was pretty good for a hostel, but I think with 33€ this has been the most expensive hostel I've stayed in so far.

This is a fantastic hostel. The staff are friendly and VERY hardworking. I stayed in the 8bed female dorm and it was spacious, clean and quiet!! My favourite accommodation I stayed in for my entire trip. The location is perfect, wedged between Dam Square and the Red Light District, plus a 5-10 minute walk from the main train station (depending how heavy your case is). Amsterdam is not a quiet city. If you choose to stay right where everything happens [red light district, cafes, train station], it won't be silent, but it can be comfortable. Convenient location, delicious menu, spacious rooms, cool atmosphere! We only stayed one night because we were unorganized and didn't plan for a holiday weekend. They book up fast, so get on it! It was the best St. Christopher's I have stayed at! Near red light district and all of the happening places

Most of the staff are unconcerned. They think they're really clever, when they should understand they are the service providers and we are the ones travelling the world.
