This hotel is right on a canal. When I first opened my room door, I could have sat looking out those windows for a number of hours; even the trees reached passed my third story windows. My tiny room had a length-wise bed (as I don't think it would fit, long ways). The floor were of polished wood. Breakfast is... More

Okay, this isn't a 5 star hotel by any means - but it wasn't bad. We booked a double but upgraded to a triple for 10 euros per day - the extra space was well appreciated. The good: Clean rooms/bathrooms, comfortable beds, Spacious. Great Location The bad - Doors are set to "SLAM" whenever they are let go. 1 pillow... More

I stayed here with a friend for the weekend and really only spent time here to sleep. We didn't use the breakfast facilities due to the €15-20 cost which we thought was unreasonable. The room was of a good standard and the bed was extremely comfortable, I want one at home!!! As in previous reviews, the hotel is quite dark... More

There are lots and lots of hotels in Amsterdam, but still it can be difficult to locate a decent place to stay in the city. Quite a few of the hotels are small and leaning, expensive or they are a bit off the beaten track. NH City Centre offers a good alternative to all of these. A quite large reception... More

The hotel is below expectations at the requested price (180 euro per night for 1 person): no carpeted floor, no bath robe, no change of cosmetics after using part of them... Breakfast is ok, various type of food to choose from. Location is ok, quite central, 5 minutes walk from famous Dam square & Royal Palace and 10 minutes walk... More

I traveled with my Mom in late April this year on a last minute trip to the Netherlands. There were not many hotels available, with our last minute booking, but this seemed to be the most central and reasonably priced option for us. We landed in Amsterdam at 8:00 am and really were in need of a shower/nap when we... More

The hotel has an excellent location near three tram lines. The rooms are modern and attractive although strangely missing details like more than one towel bar. Other than the BBC morning show there is no way to get news about such things as weather. When I wanted to buy an International Herald Tribune I had to go across the street... More

Actually the hotel was booked for me because we had to attend a function at the Royal Palace, which is just over a block away. The location is practically in the center of Amsterdam, which means most attractions are within walking distance. I even walked to the State Museum, which is at about a 15 min walk's distance. The hotel... More

I picked this hotel because of its location and I was glad I did. It is an easy walk (or short tram ride) from the central station and all of the major attractions that Amsterdam has to offer. The room was extremely clean and well appointed. Free tea and coffee was provided along with a small fridge. A room safe... More

We stayed here for 3 nights from the 6th May onwards. Upon arrival we were charged the city tax which I was expecting and a further deposit of €50 to cover the mini Bar etc. We upgraded when we arrived due to reading the reviews about the rooms being small. Our room was a average size, needed a new carpet... More
