Inn Old Amsterdam is located in an historical monument full of character (1645) on the Nieuwmarkt, a vibrant residential quarter with bars, restaurants and outdoor cafes. Our house looks out onto the most important gate of the city of Amsterdam (1488), the Sint Anthonispoort, now known as De Waag. For our guests we have fitted up a comfortable room with a kitchenette on the first floor, and a large studio with private bathroom, toilet and kitchen on the second floor.Just as in the past, the city gate is a good base from which to visit the historic centre, the many attractions, festivals, festivities and shows in Amsterdam. Nearly all at walking distance.

Definitely a very much quirky place! From it's location above the club and up the steep narrow stairs to the room, it really is a different kind of place- but in the most positive sense! We stayed in the studio Stadsgroen. It has a very large main area with a kitchen, sitting area and washroom. Up the circular staircase you find the bedroom and a full bath(shower). We loved the old floors and beams (built in the 1600's). It is very centrally located and we walked everywhere from there including to and from the Central Train Station. The included breakfast was a nice touch and a great way to start the day. We would definitely stay here again upon a return the fabulous city of Amsterdam!

Me and my 3 friends we booked on July 2017 for one week in September. On August (one month before our arrival), the Inn Old Amsterdam cancelled our prenotation for law problem for renting the apartment. In my opinion, it is absurd and it isn't true the reason. Amsterdam is a city most request for holiday and many structure are full if you search an accomodation one month before arrival. This is a big problem for us! I don'have good words for describe the inconvenience that they created to us. As my experience, i don't raccomanded this structure for your holiday.

This is an incredibly quirky place to stay! Very central, 10 minutes brisk walk from Amsterdam Central station and although positioned right in the middle of the market square (look out for the daily market, including fresh cheese, meats etc.), the rooms were quiet and we all slept soundly! The stairs.... impractical to stay here with elderly guests, disabled, even families with small children, however, for a group of (fairly) able bodied adults, it is a perfect base. Rooms were clean, with plenty of towels and shower products. A small kitchen with fridge, stove top and microwave is compact and fits the bill for occasional meals in. Dan responds quickly to emails and provided a very smooth and informative booking process. Breakfasts are taken just around the corner at Il Sogno and although the choices are limited, all provided fresh and with wonderful service. The young lady from Zans Schaans (?) an absolute delight, her attention to detail, ease of interaction and wonderful tour information, made our stay so much better and we all looked forward to seeing her in the morning! Dan- this young lady is a treasure!!…

Great location right on Newmarkt square. Action every day! One block from famed red light district and a couple or a few blocks from everything! The studio apartments are simply charming in one of the sweet Amsterdam houses. Daniel the host is extremely helpful as are the ladies in their cafe. a big thank you to Margo for her over and beyond assistance. Breakfast included in the rate and very nice. Located around the corner from the metro! Wifi included! The stairs up are narrow and steep but but but so are most of the old houses ... part of the era. I'd not hesitate in returning to this property. I took a top floor studio located on the back - peaceful! Vicki Sydney Australia

We stayed for a week and we fell in love with it. It could not being in a better place, the Waag looks lovely, you have a cheap supermarket very close (ah) a bit noise but not loud. Also breakfast incl was just perfect, you have 3 options to choose and they were lovely, all of them! The staff there was helpful and very friendly, we loved the blonde girl who is studying Speech anf language therapist. You can go everywhere from the loft, it gets a bit hot but it was OK. We didn't have kitchen but a fridge and a ketttle were there! We will be back, deffo! ❤️ 6 nights: 900£

The place is a 15 min walk away from the central station, and just like 30 metres away from the metro entrance of Nieuwmarkt station. There are tons of bars and eateries all around, and some are open till late at night even. Surprisingly, there were also a lot of shops selling Asian food. However, this also meant that you would get a bit of noise in the evening, as the B&B is just above Club Cotton, which only closes at around 1am? We could also hear footsteps from the room above us quite distinctly. The room was clean, spacious, and cosy. The bed was actually 2 twin beds pushed together, but that wasn't an issue at all. It would have been better if there were a small rack beside the shower for placing toiletries, as well as some floor mats, but other than that we had all the amenities we needed. The free breakfast menu at Il Sogno was quite limited, but food was good. Daniel is a friendly host and helped familiarize ourselves with the area. All in all, we loved the place and would definitely go back if we ever visit Amsterdam again! …

The location was perfect as we were not far from the station and near the "lively" streets. We booked both rooms and I stayed in the smaller of the two. The bathroom was in a separate corridor between doors but that suited us. The only fault was that the bar underneath was very loud well into the night so on our early night we struggled to sleep. The breakfast service next door was lovely and well prepared however small the menu was. Would recommend to a friend for a short cheap get away hotel!

We stayed at this Inn and we totally felt in love with the location, as travelers we like to experience unique accommodations and this Inn was perfect for us, it's very clean, comfortable, and felt very authentic with the cute Dutch decoration, the studio was spacious and had everything we need: mini-fridge, sink, coffee machine, dishes and cutlery, with great view of the streets and nearby cafes and bars. The subway station Nieuwmarkt is steps away, all the main tourist attractions are walking distance from the Inn, very safe and friendly neighborhood. And the breakfast at il Sogno was absolutely delicious, the staff very friendly and helpful, we forgot some documents in the room and they were mailed to us, no complains whatsoever (WYSIWYG). We highly recommend this Inn and we look forward to go back to Amsterdam and stayed at this Inn again.…

Daniel was really nice and very easy to communicate with in booking the studio. Fuss-free, straightforward and simply effortless. The studio / loft was rustic and relaxing, I feel like Heidi from the fairy tales. =) You go up a ladder to get to the sleeping area or the lounge area, which we thought was so cool. And the chairs at the lounge area as well as the couch were next to huge windows and it was cool to just people-watch. The location of the studio was conveniently walking distance to the attractions. And it was a short walk from the train station. And the place Il Sogno where you can get your breakfast was amazing too. The breakfast choices were simple, great quality and delicious. And really friendly people at the place too that you could easily imagine they could be your friends right away. Should they ever come to LA, we'd welcome them to stay at our place! That's how much we felt comfortable with them!…
