We stayed for 3 nights over New Year and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The welcome was great, breakfast great as well with a selection of breads, meat cheeses salad etc. The only downside is that the cabins are small but hey, it's a boat so this is to be expected. The showers and wc very clean and the location is... More

Very good value for money in Amsterdam. Good location, 10 min walk fom the Amsterdam Central station or from city center - this is very helpful. If you are planning to visit a lot of things and just to sleep is the perfect choice for budget accomodation. The room is like in the pictures (very small) but as I sad,... More

A bit of a walk from Amsterdam Central station (a good 15 minutes) which can be quiet tiring with luggage but once you get to the boat you will see that it is a great location for exploring the main sites of Amsterdam. Rooms are a bit small but what can you expect if you're staying on a boat? There... More

Booked the Friesland for a couple of nights at a great price and found its location to be ideal. One thing to note was that we were looking for a boat named Friesland in a specific dock, and the actual name on the side of the boat is Amicitia, and was in a different dock. Not a huge issue but... Myself and 3 friends went to Amsterdam for New years eve. The barge is 10mins away from main train station and close to trams and buses. Staying at the Friesland made our trip, Roy the captain was brilliant and so helpful. He even took us to one of the bars he goes to with his friends and we had a... More

John was so awesome-- we got tripped up in weather issues and had to miss one night of our reservation but he switched it to the latter half of our trip, no problem. We arrived and there was a seamless check-in, and the reviews are right-- super-clean, small but fun! Only complaint was it got pretty hot at night, but... More
