Recently stayed here for 4 nights during the crests . Nice, clean and conveniently located. Friendly and helpful staff. Great bar and lovely bar tender. Restaurant was also quite good. Good place for families or groups of friends. Not as an over the top fancy place but a lovely cozy inn that feels like home.

If I'd read other travellers' reviews of Soldanella, I would have known to ask for a room with a view. Instead, I booked a single room, that being what I needed. Beware! We had a lovely corner room with large windows overlooking this beautiful lake in St Moritz. Staff was friendly and accommodating- had an old style elevator. The included breakfast was good and it was close to the downtown area.

Just spent a night at the hotel before the start of our trip on the galcier express to zermatt. It is a three star hotel with grandeur. Every room used to be smoking rooms, and they did NOT do any refurbishments after they switch to non-smoking, so rooms still reek like cigarette smoke.
