Charming old hotel with basic but comfortable bedrooms in this interesting old town, but take your own kettle, as no hostess tray; seems common in Switzerland. Well placed for 10 minute walk to station and some memorable train rides. Good restaurant; we opted for dinner bed and breakfast option which included glass of wine or beer etc., Winelist, in common... More

A very nice building in the old town of Chur. As it is in the Altstadt there is no parking but happily you can drive in to drop bags etc, and then there is a parkhaus a two or three minute walk away. We received a very friendly and helpful greeting and settled in quickly. Our particular room was basic... More

First of all I would like to thank you for your review. And thank you for the compliments on our kitchen and restaurant. But we would like to thank you even more for the comments on the negative points of your experience. As to the hotel. Yes, our bathrooms are very small as the rooms were build about 100 years... Rooms are very simple and a bit outdated. Bathroom is very small. Breakfast is OK, but small. Excellent gourmet restaurant. Location is perfect for visiting the old town.

I stayed in a small room in the attic with a very small bathroom. The bed was a futon and the window faced a window just across the street. The room was simply furnished. Carpets seemed old. The breakfast was miniscule, although Bircher musli was available. No eggs and two slices of cheese in total. No black tea was available... More

Chur is a charming town, and the Zunfthaus zur Rebleuten (which translates as the Grapepickers' Guild House) is a charmingly evocative little place to stay. Our bedroom was clean and comfortable, and the shower was equipped with a waterproof radio and a notice urging guests to sing along as they showered. The cooking in the restaurant, which serves interesting regional... More

I would rate this hotel for what it is. It was a very good small B&B, some rooms with private baths. It is not a luxury hotel, and not meant to be, but the room was comfortable and very clean. The decor is definitely outdated, but not offensive. I can't say enough good things about the staff. They were helpful... More

My family and I stayed here for one night in July 2011. We arrived early evening and were greeted by a friendly, helpful staff. The rooms were clean and fresh. We had a lovely dinner in the restaurant. The chef and waitstaff were very accommodating regarding special GLUTEN FREE diet needs. The waitstaff also helped our travel-weary children (7 and... More

This hotel is great value in an expensive country. The rooms are 2*-3* standard. Considering the old-age of the house, our room wasn't especially fancy, but clean, quiet and comfortable. Hotel staff were extremely friendly and the large breakfast buffet a true delight. A possible downside could be the lack of parking space for those who travel by car. The... More

This a review based only on 3 hours that I spent around this hotel, so be aware there is definetely a (negative) bias. If you have a rental you will need to park it (and pay from your own pocket) 5 blocks away from the hotel (located in the old town, pedestrian area). Then drag your lugagge all the way... More

Thank you for your review. Only if people tell us what we do wrong we can get better. But there are a few points I would like to comment: 1) You are allowed to drive up to the hotel to unload your luggage, which every guest that asks us is told 2) 130 metres (app 142 Yards) from the public... More

We stayed at this hotel our first night in Europe before we caught the Bernina Express through the Alps. This hotel fits the personality of Chur. It is centrally located and makes for an easy walk to everything in the City. The staff was very kind and got us everything we needed. Every room is slightly different. This is not... More
