Close to train station- took the Glacier Express. Somewhat dated- needs updating. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Good restaurant. Good breakfast.

A huge amount of stairs greet you when you arrive at this hotel. You immediately notice that the carpet is drab and the place could do with investment. Staff was friendly and room was adequate for solo traveller not spending much time in room. However, unless you have ear plugs you will not get a wink of sleep - very poor sound insulation. Wi-fi only works during certain hours. Mini bar was room temperature. Rooms very tiny.

Although rooms in most Swiss towns arent cheap the quality of our rooms were orinary. Like other comments they were old and in need of a good refurb. Staff were friendly, location good and breakfadt adequate.

This was the worst hotel in our 2 1/2 weeks in Europe. The fact that it is in an old building is no excuse - many of the places we stayed were as old or older. It just needs to be refurbished.
