This is an all in hotel so they organise ski passes, lessons, have their own equipment rental. You really can just turn up and ski and the all inclusive part is fantastic. The food was amazing, as a vegetarian I was overloaded with choice - pasta, pizza, vegetable dishes, salads....you can get a voucher to eat up on the mountain... More

Having enjoyed Club Med at Avoriaz last year we thought Wengen would be a similar experience this year - just goes to show there are no guarantees. We have a mixed group including Children so chose Club med as the "all-inclusive" promise makes things so much easier, howwever the overall lack of service this time around, coupled with the number... The spacious and comfortable Grand Palace, well located in the sedate village of Wengen, has it all, except for a real log fire. The food was excellent (an Italian chef and team) and the atmosphere lively, despite an older than average clientèle. The skiing was well organised, as usual, as was the walking group which got full benefit from the... More

We visited in Jan 2012 as a family of 4 with two girls ages 9 & 10. It was our first Club Med experience so we were not sure quite what to expect. At first we were overwhelmed by the herd in the reception area and lounge, and wondered what we had let ourselves in for. After a couple of... More

As a family of 4, with 2 teenage children on our first skiing holiday, I wanted easy, and you cannot get easier than Club Med. I didn't have to worry about hiring ski equipment, organising ski lessons, where and when to eat and drink and whether I could afford that extra nicety. Last year when I decided on Club Med... More

We went to Wengen for the first week of the ski season in December 2011. It was an absolutely awesome week. The staff were fantastic especially Nicola who was always organising fun things to do and was always willing to help. The food was amazing especially Chirstmas eve on which we were spoilt with foie gras, oysters, prawns, gammon and... More

We spent Cristmas 2011 there with kids 3 to 7 years old. Overall it was just a great stay, everything was very much enjoyable. A lot is done for the kids and the GO are just sweet. There is plenty of activities for the kids to have fun...should they want to participate. If not Wengen by itself has a lot... More

Our family of 6 (4 children aged 19,18,13 & 11) have just returned from a week's holiday spent with Nicola and his staff at Club Med Wengen. What an amazing holiday. The staff were very accommodating. We stayed in the Edelweiss section of the hotel. Our rooms, while small, were comfortable and clean. The size really was not an issue... More

You like Club Med or you don't. This is a fact and you know exactly what to expect and what not. We spent a short trip there and experienced a high-professional and top Chef de Village (thank you!!) with a mixed team of more or less good GOs. When you worked for Club Med, you see things in a different... More

Good compromise for a family stay (German grand-children aged 11 and 7): easy access by train from Germany, ski with excellent teachers for the kids, nice location, the typical Swiss village, acceptable (not great) accommodation. More
