This is a fantastic family-run hotel. It's more like a second home to me. Nothing is too much trouble - even when they're frantically busy. It was our second visit here and it couldn't be nicer! Its slightly formal (being swiss) but also really great service and friendly. Nice hotel, nice pool, nice sauna, amazing breakfast... The portuguese cleaners are really good and nice. The bed was prepared twice a day with chocolates on top of the pillow. Lovely little family owned and operated hotel in Murren, felt like authentic Switzerland. The family was very visible making sure all the guests needs were anticipated and met and it felt that nothing would be too much trouble, even though they were also catering for a large curling party at the same time. Great location, superb staff and a wonderfully atmospheric hotel. The family run operation is the perfect place to stay with bars and restaurants, not to mention the slopes, all within very close proximity. An added bonus is the porter who will lug your bags to the hotel from the nearby train station.
