This hotel is well located if you intend using Interlaken as a base for travelling. It is actually in Unterseen but is minutes from the Interlaken West train station.It is also close to amentities such as post office, bank, supermarket. stayed in augst end as a couple. advantages: 1. walking distance ro train station...5 min...nice walk...excellent view of the snowladen peaks . 2.Nice drawing room near breakfast area...nice collection of books...have a channel on the tv where you have live webcam views on all the mountain tops like jungfrau, schilthorn..can check out the weather than head for these mountains 3.... Slightly out of town but close enough to walk to station. Chemist and Co-op (supermarket) very closely located. some nearby restaurunts, hotel also has Italian restaurunt downstairs. The hotel is less than a 5 minute walk from Interlaken West station and very easy to find. We stayed as a couple in a small double. Staff nice,good location,room had fab view,but very dated.Only had side lights so had to walk thru room in dark to find light switch when coming back in the evening.Smoke and noise from restuarant till late in the evening-shower small and doors needed attention.Breakfast basic but ok, no variation over the three days.Not as good as hotels of same price stayed... I have returned to The Hardermannli Hotel, many times. I have always enjoyed my stay there. It is a typical Swiss chalet Hotel, with a superb restaurant attached to the side of the hotel, parking outside, fabulous views of the mountains.
