We just came back from Italy and have stayed 3 nights in this hotel. We had chosen it from the positive reviews on this site. We were not disappointed! The most positive quality of this place is its owners: friendly, warm, extremely helpful and welcoming, and smooth (Loriana and her husband, and their two sons, especially the very billingual and... The family that owns this hotel is quite nice. The parents' English, especially the father's, is limited. The adult son spent a year in the US so is fluent, but he's not always around. The hotel is well located, an easy stroll to the historic center. The unfortunate part is that the facility just doesn't measure up. Cigarette smoke is... More

The Morlacchi hotel is a nice little hotel, owned by a family, well located in Perugia city center. The rooms are not very big but are clean and equipped with the essential, the breakfast is normal. I recommend it to people a little more young or athletic people, because there is no elevator and if you have a room on... More

We stayed in the apartment that Hotel Morlacchi offers. It is one and a half blocks form the hotel. It is beautiful---spotlessly clean, very spacious. This a perfect location for exploring the old city of Perugia. Loriana was very pleasant to deal with. We wished we had more time---we stayed 4 nights, and each day discovered more great little spots... More

This small hotel has a certain old-fashioned charm and is in a convenient location. The proprietors are friendly and helpful and breakfast is good. HOWEVER - noise is a major problem in the front rooms. It is near Piazza Morlacchi which contains popular student barst and the high stone walls all around mean that even a few revellers make a... This place is very very well located and at a very honest price too. Cozy and clean. The people who run it are extremely kind and welcoming. They have the cutest most affectionate dog too. The room is original with vintage furniture and the breakfast is rich. I would definately check in again .

This hotel was in a great location, very convenient for sightseeing. The owners were most obliging and their antique furniture in the hotel is fabulous. Our room was great and very clean and the breakfast was adequate, we could always have our second cup of coffee no problem. They were most helpful regarding places to see in Perugia and surrounding... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the hotel. It is situated off a quiet square; a five minute walk from the main street of Perugia. What makes a visit so pleasant is the exceptional attention and friendliness of the family who own the hotel. Wife, husband, son and grandmother all make you feel most welcome and are extremely helpful. Our... More

I stayed four nights in late May 2011 in a double room, single use. It was impeccably clean, and comfortable. The antique furniture was beautiful. Small but clean and pretty bathroom. Small TV but worked well. This family-run hotel has a lot of character - the furniture in the breakfast room is beautiful, I felt like I was in Medieval... More

While planning our recent trip to Perugia, I contacted Hotel Morlacchi and was told that there was no space available. However, the owner offered an apartment just up the street, which is profiled on the hotel's web site. We took the apartment -- which was reasonably priced -- and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Italy.... More
