Bravo to Mr Chiesa and his staff for their hospiality and maintenance of a gorgeous hotel in a perfect location. Our 2cd trip there within the year and we plan on coming back.
Although the Brufani is a Small Leading Hotel of the World and rated as a Tripadvisor Top destination 2012, this seems overrated to us and thus, with hindsight the hotel was a bit disappointing. Probably the suites are more luxurious than our room, but a bit more elegance or charm would have done. Unfortunately the carpeting in our room needed...

We were so impressed with the hotel - spacious rooms, great location at the edge of old town overlooking the valley and just two blocks from all the great restaurants, museums, etc! As with all our other hotels that I reserved for our small group, the provided us a complimentary comfortable space to being in local wines, fresh breads, and...

This was by far the best hotel we stayed at in Italy. The hotel was perched at the very top of the hill, with stunning views of the surrounding Umbrian countryside. Everything was walkable, including the art gallery and the town steps, fountain and cathedral. Service was excellent and our room was clean and very comfortable. The only issue we...

The hotel is old-fashioned and grand; our room was opulent and comfortable. But the reception desk was at times brusque, and regularly unhelpful and incompetent, even when well staffed, which they often were. For example: A friend dropped by and left a message both in an envelope and as a telephone message, Both were lost - the receptionist promptly claimed...

Staying in this hotel definitely makes you feel back in time. The location is the prime location of the Old City of Perugia. The double I shared with my daughter was very spacious and we lucked out having a French window (that opened wide) offering a view over the rolling hills of the Umbria region. The beds are more comfortable...

This hotel is at the edge of the main historical center and very easy to access by car. We had a very good sized room with a French balcony overlooking the valley - beautiful view and lots of fresh air. The air conditioning was turned on! Staff is very professional and helpful. The breakfast buffet was very good. We chose...

Today is May 4. I have been staying in this hotel the past 4 days and I will depart tomorrow. The hotel is beautiful, the staff is incredible, the beds are very comfortable, and the location is the best. The problem is turning on the hotel air conditioning. We are between seasons and the management will not turn on the...

This hotel dates from the 1920s - the public parts of the hotel are really lovely with all of the beautiful detail...staircases, timber work, fireplaces. The staff were mostly...we only found a couple who were not terribly helpful. Our room was downstairs and quiet, but we felt a bit out of it and would have preferred a room upstairs. We...

We absolutely loved this jewel of a hotel. We stayed 9 nights and it was a perfect and delightful setting for our visit to Umbria.-It is well situated in the heart of Perugia yet it is a quiet, ralaxing, luxurious and romantic place.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted by helpful and friendly staff and shown to our elegant, beautifully...
