The castle is every little (or big) girl's dream. Most girls dream of being a princess in a castle at some point during their childhood. The castle was mysterious, romantic and visually stunning. The staff are friendly and willing to accommodate all your needs. The restaurant is 5 star, the truffle scrambled eggs was to die for. We had a... More

I am not sure if my review can do this B&B justice. It is just outside of Perugia, in wonderful forested hills. The castle truly does convey the castle feel, perhaps photos will do it more justice. I recommend not to sleep in and enjoy a wonderful sunrise while eating breakfast outside, overlooking the hills. It is amazingly romantic. It... More

Would you like to live in this aristocratic castle, surrounded by a huge old park? The castle stands on a wooded hill near the Italian city of Umbria and Perugia. In the atmosphere of old times and stories you already immersed in the ancient city of Siena in the Chianti wine road on which you can reach the castle. Surrounded... More

We were two couples who stayed one night in the villa ada which adjoins the larger castle. We loved this accommodation, it was peaceful and having the castle where we ate breakfast and dinner was a real treat for us. The accommodation in the villa was fine, maybe a little small but that didn't detract from our experience. The evening... More

I make a habit of staying at historic places and castles, so not new to the ups and downs of these properties. And I have not yet found one I had a problem with. Until now that is. With the exception of one of the night staff, who tried hard, the staff were curt bordering on rude. The room was... More

Located in the midst of the Umbrian mountains near Perugia, the castello is a historic accommodation. Given such, we were not expecting much comfort, but the room was nicely decorated and we slept well. Our room was in the Villa Ada, which is an adjacent building and cheaper. Breakfast is in the castle. The staff was very friendly and helpful.... More

We enjoyed our stay very much. The staff were very helpful, kind and friendly. It is perhaps true that the hotel rooms need up-dating, but our room was big and spacious and very clean with nice furniture. Their service including food is just right; not too much, not too posh, but decent and civilized. Our room was called Villa Aida... More

We stayed 3 nights in Villa Ada and loved every minute. Set in the midst of beautiful shady green forested grounds, the "castle" is a bit hokey but fun. View from the terrace is beautiful. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Rooms were standard 4-star with a/c and well worth the last-minute rate we paid. (We had a look at... More

If you go get the tower room. It is the only room with direct roof top access. You have an ante-chamber as well as your room and the castle roof is your porch. It is a fairytale nestled away in the forgotten hills and mountains of central Italy. Be sure you know exactly how to get there before setting out... More

My wife and I stayed at this castle over new years eve and had an amazing time. The castle is ideal for a couple wishing to stay away from the city and relax in the charming countryside. The rooms are old, however they have updated furniture - a bit of old world charm. We typically stayed by the fireplace reading... More
