The staff here couldn't have been more friendly, helpful, and co-operative. The big parking lot downtown had the mercato in it so they guided us up to park right next to the entrance. It's a great central location and Gubbio is una bella citta'. A delicious meal can be found at Il Picchio Verde at a very reasonable price.

The hotel itself probably is at best a 3 star, but the city is at least a 4 star. Getting to the hotel is a bit of a challange by vehicle. The city streets are very narrow and a maze. We spent a week in Gubbio during the Ceri festival.It was an unforgetible experience. Our room was clean & spacious. The location was perfect for the festival as well as enjoying the daily activities of the town. The one draw back was that only one member of the staff was fluent in English. Shame on us for not speaking Italian.

Located in the most romantic local community, just a couple of hours by train from Rome. Gubbio is perfect. This hotel provided a special hospitality that made the trip perfect!
