Our second time at Casa Rosa brought new experiences and the wished for feelings of freedom and peacefulness. This time we even spotted a whole family of wild boars and many lizards. The wonderful hostess always succeeds in making us feel very welcome and at home. We hope we’ll find our way back there in the near future.

There are too many good things to say about Casa Rosa. It's perfectly located off the beaten track, but near enough to civilisation as well (you will need a car). The accomodation at Casa Rosa is not 5 star. That's not a problem because you will want to be outside all the time, and you are spoilt for choice with where you can walk, swim, sit or just lay around all day and into the evening. Total silence from man-made sounds is a possibility here, and there aren't many places... More

This is a totally unique spot for those who have seen and done a lot. The place, the district and the surrounding towns are all absolutely special. The charming hostess made us feel at home but never intruded in our space.

A perfect place for a weeks retreat from the noise and ugliness of London. We enjoyed the amazing scenery, spring flowers and birds singing, numerous walks as well as the delights of Assisi. We recommend Spello but were disappointed with Gubbio. Palm Sunday and Good Friday services at San Leonardo in Via Sant'Antonio Cristofani were a special treat in English.... More
