We enjoyed our room there and especially liked that it was just down the street from so much to see. The room size was a little smaller than usual but was planned well. It was quiet and comfortable with good beds and pillows. The food in the hotel was good. But get out and walk around to see the views!

We were booked into another hotel just down the road and upon arrival and checking in we were advised they were having water problems and had booked us into Albergo San Francesco. Our triple room was generous in size but as so many other reviews have stated it is dated(found the cotton - not towelling - bathtowels different!) We tried... More

We stayed at this hotel as part of a tour of Italy. We were a group of 3 on our tour. The room which we got was a descent size, but some of our tour friends said that our room was large compared to the rooms that they were staying in. The rooms are very simple and have out-dated wall... More

Assisi was one of our favourite places of all in Italy. The hotel was minute....we have a photo of my husband squeezed very tightly into the tiny bath, which was hilarious, but just added to the quaintness of the whole experience. The hotel is steeped in history and we regarded it as a privilege to stay there. The views from... More

The rooms seem a bit dated. The room was decent size for other rooms in Italy, however it seemed dated. The bed was just ok for comfort. The place just seemed like it could be updated. The breakfast was fine with a broad selection of food. The view from the Basilica side of the property cannot be beat in that... More

We stayed here as part of the Globus Tours package and it was by far the worst hotel we stayed in. Our room was small, but not too small to make the stay negative. The smell of the room was terrible and when you walked into the bathroom, the ceiling had so much black mold I had to shut the... More

The hotel is well-located very near the Basilica of St. Frances. The breakfast buffet was included in the price and it was very good, including fruit, yogurt, cakes, meat, breads, juice, and all the caffe latte you could possibly want. The room was small and the bathroom miniscule. The price at 95 Euro seemed high, but we just walked in... More

Just returned from a few-city trip with my elderly father-in-law. In Assisi, I chose the Hotel San Francesco based on feedback that I read on TripAdvisor. While Assisi is small, the location of this hotel is excellent, being in front of the Basilica. The staff was friendly, the rooms were small, but clean and functional, the breakfast was decent, and... More
