We did not stay at Fattoria Poggio Alloro but came and spent the day here with a tour. First we had a wonderful pasta making class. Then we had a tour of the facility. It is a working farm. We saw the vineyards and fed the animals. Then we had a lovely lunch where they served the pasta we made.... More

we came here with walkabout florence tours for one of the stops and was not disappointed! although i would have LOVED to have some organic chicken as part of my lunch meal, the pasta was al dente and very delicious. we also had a cheese and meat and salad plate after the pasta, and dessert biscottit dipped in one of... The view, food, hospitality, accomodations and wonderful family that own this farm and B & B make this like a little bit of heaven on earth. You will truly feel you are staying in a special place where the owners put love of their farm and pride and tradition of the way things are produced ahead of everything else. We... More

My cousin and I took the 'Best of Tuscany' tour where we went to Sienna then stopped here for lunch. What a treat. We received a tour and watched the wine being bottled. Then had a very delicious lunch with plenty to eat and drink! Had time to shop for wine and olive oil or order to be sent home.... More

This place is about excellent food, views and friendly service and delivers it in bundles. The accomodation is pretty basic, the rooms are clean but sparsely furnished - you will not be spending much time in them anyway. The pool is down a steep incline with a great view of San Gimignano and the surrounding hills. There is no paddling... More

What can I say? We are back here for the fifth year in a row with a group of friends. Owners and staff treat us as family, and the quality of the service cannot be higher. This year we even have air conditioning, so it is really perfect. On top of the accommodation quality, there is the food. It deserves... More

The food and wine is made and grown on the farm. To sit by the pool and drink cold wine and eat biscotti and enjoy the view is heaven. The people are wonderful and very welcoming and helpful. They are very popular and the rooms by the restaurant can be noisy at night.

I'll state at the start that we didn't use the hotel, just the restaurant, so if you're looking for hotel review, this ain't it. OK, we rented a villa up the road at Torreprima for two weeks and this was one of the eateries recommended by the owner of our villa. We didn't come here straight away, which was lucky... More

The location is just fantastic and the view breathtaking! Accomodation is very simple and basic (no TV) but clean and comfortable. The place is authentic. If you like nature and you want to relax this is the place to be. Very nice for the kids, they can run around and look at the animals and spend some time without TV.... More

This is a wonderful place to stay. Great accomodations and the family and staff go out of their way to make you feel at home. The food is some of the best we have had in Italy. I try to schedule a couple of days here after visiting Rome to relax before returning home.
