I spent a few days here with my mother, sister and neice and we had a fantastic time. We stayed in the Leccino apartment, but had a chance to view the other apartments, and all were equally amazing. We didn't expect the apartment, which was split accross 3 floors, to be so spacious. Linda and George were so welcoming and... More

Tastefully converted olive mill in a lovely area. Accommodation immaculately clean and furnished comfortably. Kitchen well equipped and Linda and George on hand to advise where to go and what to see. Cycling round the ancient walls of Lucca and Alfredo's for lunch a must! This is a perfect place to relax and use as a base to explore beautiful... More

Clean, well equiped apartment, George and Linda were fantastic hosts and very helpful when we left our passports there! Beautiful surroundings and perfect views. I would not hesitate to recommend this place. Car is essential and the drive is not for the faint hearted!

We have just spent 10 wonderful days at Frantoio bel Bartolome staying in the Leccino Apartment. Linda and George were excellent hosts, and got the balance right by being on hand to help when needed but not being too obtrusive. They directed us to the right places to visit, eat and drink. Alfredo's La Cantina is a must! The location... More

The hillside track from the main road takes you up through the Cyprus trees and terraced olive groves and at the top you are met with stunning views of the surrounding Tuscan countryside. The Frantoio, a converted Olive Mill, will also not dissappoint. The property provides four luxury 'self catering' apartments (1,2 and 3 bed) all with fully fitted kitchens... More

Stunning building in glorious Tuscan countryside, extremely well appointed. George and Linda very knowledgeable and helpful hosts. Accessible walks to local villages and beauty spots. Beautiful Lucca is within 30 minute drive and Pisa and Florence easily accessible. Excellent venue for extended family holidays or large group of friends. At the time of our visit the unmade access road was... More

Frantoio del Bartolome was once a watermill housing the area's communal olive press. It still sits in its own terraced olive grove and has been tastefully restored. The apartments have cool, airy rooms and brand new kitchens. Ex-pat Scots George and Linda, who look after the Frantoio, made sure we had a fantastic time by recommending fabulous local restaurants and... More
