I have been just last week in Florence to attend a conference from March 5th to 10th. I was on a limited budget and didn´t expect to spend too much time in an hotel room anyway. However it´s not that easy to find relatively cheap decent accomodations in the middle of Florence! I have checked out several low-budget hotels and... More

With only one night in this hotel I can say that we found it close to everything with generally pleasant staff. A little difficult to locate due to the numbering system- for this property the nu8mbers are consecutive with numbers 14,15 & 16 on the same side of the road. Our room was a large room with two single beds... More

My partner and I booked the hotel on the train on our way to Florence only 2 hours before we arrived. We were warmly welcomed. Staff are knowledgeable of the city and happy to assist. Staff were extremely accommodating when we asked for additional nights stays. We both had 23kg backpacks and loved the location from Florence Central station to... More

The room we had was not at all like any of the photos. The room was clean but very scruffy. No curtains the fridge and the aircon did not work. There were holes in the plaster walls and the furniture was of the sort you would find in a junk shop. The downstairs entrance was dark and dangerous at night... More

We chose this hotel because it was close to the train station and we were only staying for one night. The reviews we read were mixed but sometimes that's because of different priced rooms or a particularly bad experience. The entrance of the Alinari is difficult to find. You have to locate a small old style lift (it won't fit... More

Old, scafy inside and out hotel, not maintained and serviced properly. They advertise that they have a parking onsite, it is false statement since they don't have a parking onsite at all. Rooms a dirty and outdated, air conditioning doesn't work, complimentary breakfast is a joke. Would not recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights at Hotel Alinari in July 2012. The hotel is extremely close to the train station ( basically across the road.. 1 minute walking) which is convenient. It is also very close to the beautiful leather market of Florence (about 2-5 mins walking). For location, i would give the hotel a 4.5/5.. However, the hotel itself... More

One of the few hotels we could find in our budget who could fit all 4 of us. Gave us a nice, very clean 2 room "suite" with a view of the Basilica of San Lorenzo. Easy walking distance of the train station. Very friendly staff. We would go back if in Florence again.

We booked a couple of rooms here for our family and some friends visiting from the states, and it was exactly what we've come to expect from a hotel in Italy - we had a halfway decent sized room, and a private bathroom (they still do communal bathrooms in some hotels here!) and a complimentary breakfast. We got a quad... More
