we stayed at the junior suite on the second floor with a terrace and facing directly to the river Arno, n the terrace is huge, it's almost the size of our room. I wouldn't say it's close to the Sants Maria Nouvelle station, it's like 10-15 mins walk from the hotel but I would say its definitely worth the walking...

We were delighted from the moment we walked into the Hotel Consigli: kind and courteous staff, very classy looking place, and our room was spacious, comfortable, warm, and the terrace view and atmosphere exceeded all else. The room was pretty large and so was the bathroom. The fixtures looked kind of old school but very good hot water and hot bathroom. The room smelled slightly musty, I have experienced this before in hotels in Italy so it was okay. The reception was very friendly and helped us plan our routine for our 2 days there.
