Small yes, unobtrusive no, why would anyone want to stay in fancy hotels in Florence - I have no idea - it's not like you spend any time in your room anyway right? It's next to the station about 10 minute walk to where all the action happens - and seemed to be good value for money!

I went to this hotel last summer with 2 friends of me. We were surprise by the quality of the rooms whereas it was not expensive. The staff was really kind, they open the terrasse for us until late in order that we can appreciate the nice weather of Italy. I recommend this Hotel.

The room with the private bath needed much better lighting than what was provided. We were told that because we booked through Expedia, we were not entitled to the Continental breakfast, No hair dryer in the private bath - even though a hair dryer was listed as a hotel amenity. I would NOT recommend this trap at all!
