The Hotel Alamanni isn't a five star but it's a safe place for a girl in a great location to see alot of Italy. It's a small place in what has been called a less glamorous part of town but I can say as a girl traveling alone I felt safe there and was always just a few minutes away... More

Our request was for a self catered apartment. On arrival at the address provided we were provided with directions to a place on another street. The gent on reception was very helpful, however arriving at 10:30pm and then told to walk to the next block was a tad unexpected. But not as unexpected as the 'apartment". The condition of the... I didn't even make the stay...I booked a room for a business trip and rang beforehand to query why my credit card had been debited in advance. The person on the phone immediately got defensive, told me to read better the conditions, declared I was being rude and then said "we actually don't need your €100". That was it, I... More

Be careful, once you get into this hotel you pay for everything. Wanna park a car? 20 euros, Wanna have breakfast? 7 euros, Wanna use the internet? 5 euros, Even if you wanna breath, you have to pay. Besides, the staff is rude and the hotel is old, with an awful carpet on the floor. I don´t reccomend it at... More

It was the worst hotel I've ever seen. The room smells really disgusting. I recommend you stay away from the hotel.

Unfortunately in August 2011 we stayed at this hotel for two nights. The hotel is situated on the second floor, access to reception is via a two man lift (without luggage, or one person with luggage). I have never experienced such rude, obnoxious staff in my entire life who do not care about you whatsoever. The room was small and... More

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff were arrogant and rude. Air conditioning didn't work (weather was very hot, we stayed August 2011) and they wouldn't even supply us with a fan, fridge didn't work efficiently, carpet was torn and filthy dirty, not only in the rooms but in the hall ways. They don't even supply... More

Dear Guest, It is evident that you are on the same party as the previous comment, for this reason we limited the reply only on the part of your comment regarding our staff manner’s lessons, we do need always something new to learn, and during your stay with us we have learned that even if we do everything is possible... I booked this hotel without the advice of my travel agent and it was an awful mistake. The location is disgusting with the overpowering smell of stale urine in doorways and we had to negotiate passed several women sitting in a doorway obvoiusly high on something. It states it has a lift but it is very very small and you have... More

An astonishing range of opinions in these reviews. Hotel Alamanni seems to be like Marmite - you either love it or hate it. I did not see the negative comments until after I had made the booking, and if I had seen them earlier I might not have booked at all, so I would like to redress the balance a... More
