We booked the Malaspina through Easyjet at an extremely good price and were very pleased we did. Location was ideal for us as we were dropped off at Santa Maria Novella station by Terravision coach from Pisa airport (very good value incidentally at 10 Euros return booked on line) and it was a 10 minute walk towing suitcases. Situation on... More

We've stayed 4 nights in this hotel. Our bedroom was small as well as the WC, which needed some improvements. Nevertheless it was clean, quiet (the room was on the back of the building) the staff helpfull and the breakfast more than enough. The TV was small (as everything in the room) but we didn't go to Florence to see... More

18 of us stayed at this hotel for 3 nights: it was a big family celebration for my mother's 90th birthday. When we had all arrived, coming from England, Italy and Dubai, there was a big mix up on rooms even though we had phoned to check the number and type just a few days before. My poor niece who... We stayed at Malaspina hotel for 3 nights on our honeymoon. It was our first trip to Italy & Florence. The first thing to know is hotel's location: if you are not very tired, you don't need any transport to get to the hotel from central train station. It's about 10 minutes walk max (After first day, we found more... More

The hotel was really good, the rooms we had were nice and big, the bathroom ok and very clean. The service of the reservation des was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was pretty good, big variety of different food (cerials, different croissants, rolls, ham and cheese, jam, juices etc) compared to other hotels in Italy. Very near to the... More

Booked through travel republic.com for very reasonable price (£100 for 2 people 3 nights b&b). Good location - 10 mins from train station and Duomo, 15 mins from Uffizi, Plazzo Vecchio e.t.c. Reception - v attractive entrance. Staff polite, efficient, professional. Room (202)- good size, air con, mini bar. Bathroom - small to average size, could perhaps do with a... More

Staff were all courteous and most accommodating, Marco and Stefano especially so. Our ground floor room was close to reception and on the street; but thanks to quadruple glazing was virtually soundproof. Free WiFi and museums' reservations all worked very well. Breakfast was substantial and to suit most tastes. The only criticisms related to the lack of sink plugs in... More

The hotel is just average....quite clean, helpful personnel and decent breakfast. Close to the center and the train station. But that's all! If you are just interested in having a place to sleep, it's a good pick. Otherwise, there is little confort.

I found the staff in this hotel extremely rude. The evening we arrived we were met by a very abrupt receptionist and he could not have been more uninterested. In the breakfast room there were 2 staff. 1 male & 1 female. The female one was okay but the male one was just rude. The room we were staying in... More

I booked this hotel using Airmiles and got a fantastic deal for two nights, bed and breakfast. We arrived late on a Friday evening and were checked in quickly by efficient but not overly healpful staff. The room itself, a twin, was a reasonable size, clean with sufficient (neither too cold or too hot) air conditioning and double double glazing... More
