Stayed in May 2012 and overall enjoyed the experience. Two points worth mentioning, the bar was not open the Tuesday and Wednesday nights we were there. I understand it is open in the evenings, Thursday to Sunday. Secondly, our room though quite adequate was very noisy from the street below. Especially between the hours of 1 and 3 AM. I... More

We arrived in Florence by train, having travelled down from Bologna - what a very different experience from British rail travel. Spotless trains, spot on time! The hotel was minutes from the station and very near the centre of most of the sites. Slight hassle at check-in, as despite requesting a double room on the booking, we'd been allocated a... More

The hotel was lovely and the front desk staff was extremely helpful and very patient. They made our stay stress free in terms of getting around. The location was also excellent, the rooms large, and the beds comfortable. However, even though we were on the third floor, the noise from the bar down the street affected my sleeping every night.... More

The accommodations were terrible. The room was stark, the noise from midnight to 4 a.m. was so great it was impossible to sleep. We had a first floor room and one staff member told us the hotel was between a bar and a disco which created the problem. They told us it was much worse on the first floor but... More

Stayed for 4 nights in April. Friendly helpful receptionist checked us in quickly and provided a local map and directions to the main sights without asking! Also gave us a list of local recommended restaurants. We requested a quiet room and had no problems with noise. Room had a high ceiling and decor was modern. The hotel was spotless. Towels... More

The hotel is a 10-15 min walk from the railway station and close to all the sights. Room was spacious, very clean and well-laid out. Breakfast was good: plenty of choice and extremely helpful staff. There is free wi-fi in the lobby and staff there go out of their way to organise bookings and recommend local trattoria.

I know, the terms and conditions of a prepaid internet booking don’t allow cancellations or amendments. But when you need to change the dates because of circumstances outside your control, I think it’s really poor form not to show a little flexibility. We booked two nights in May on Expedia.com a few months ago for around $630, including breakfast. Unfortunately,... More

Dear Sir, First of all we would like to apologize with you if someone of our staff didn’t answer you properly. As you bought a “prepaids” reservation which is “not refundable” from a Third Web Party (Expedia), this mean that this special lower rate from a normal one has got some restrictions. That’s why we could’nt make anything. We are... More

We stayed four nights at this hotel. This hotel seems to be one of the oldest hotels in Europe according to hotel staff and sofas and some ornaments (artistic objects ?) in the hotel were modern. However, personally we did not find that modernity and history were well fused into complete artistic forms. This is just based on my personal... More

Rooms keep a sense of authenticity. Ceilings are high. Breakfast is good and staff extremely welcoming, helpful when it comes to parking your car in Florence. Recommended for a family stay with a reasonable budge.

Upon arrival our Deluxe room was upgraded to a junior suite, which cost a quarter of what it would have cost online! The personnel was friendly, very accomodating and helpful with museum informations and restuarants! The hotel was very clean with high end fixtures, modern updated furniture, very comfortable beds, centrally located in the Duomo area, had WiFi in the... More
