I had checked in for 5 nights and left after two. My room on the 5th floor was directly across from the train tracks, so all evening and morning I heard screeching train brakes. The first day the septic smell from the bathroom was so strong I gaged when I walked in. They kindly moved me to another room 3... More

Dear Sir, I really felt bad by reading your review in which you explained the reasons why you considered our hotel not reccomended. Let me clear up the issues in point not before saying sorry for not making good enough your stay and for all the incoveniences. The theft you suffered has been something really unusual and we actually found... More

We got off on a bad foot for a two night stay. Being across from the train station makes for a bad location if you have a car. We had to pull up on the curb on a very busy street and got into a major discussion about parking. Our reservation (booked through Priceline) was very specific about free parking.... More

We stayed here for one night and while it looks flash and the room was nice, even on the 5th floor we were woken up by street noise and appeared to be put in the same wing of the hotel as tour groups who were pretty loud coming in and yelling at all hours. Was shown to a seat at... More

The room itself was nice size and clean. The biggest problem that we had was that it got very warm and there was no a/c working. Also, no screens on the windows or the door to the balcony so we tried leaving it open which did cool off the room but we got attacked by bugs so had to sweat... More

Initially, I was impressed with the look and feel of our room until I stayed in it for a half and hour. I should have known something was amiss when our room, which was #500, was located below the first floor. To be fair the room was clean but the room had a broken lock set, not just that the... More

Dear Sir, first of all I'm really sorry for the inconveniences occured during your stay at the Hotel Ambasciatori. We did our best although sometimes everything seems to conspire against our efforts. Alike I've been sorry for reading your review, published while you still were in hotel, after we fruitfully discussed about a kind of compensantion to regain your consideration... More

Poor hotel and poor service from the Reception staff! Definatly not a 4 stars hotel. No smile and courtesy for all our stay. Suggestions: Go away from there...I'm sure you'll find something better facing away from the train station!

Stayed here with a group in early March. The rooms were quite clean and comfortable and the hotel dining was OK. I did however feel it was strange that the lights in the hallways on the fourth floor were turned off during the day. I have never had this experience before. This is a definite safety issue. On both days... More

I booked Ambascitori hotel via Booking because of the rather high rating. But this rating has absolutely no ground whatsoever. The location is doubtful, too close to railway station and bus station. Windows facing the station square are permanently sealed to reduce the noise. The ones facing the nearby streets should be sealed too. Station surroundings are always too noisy... More

This is a decent hotel right next to the Firenze SMN (Florence Santa Maria Novella) railway station. If you are booked at this hotel & will arrive in Florence by train, you do not need a hotel transfer as the hotel is right opposite the railway station. Below are the pros & cons of this hotel. Pros: Big clean rooms,... More

This hotel is right across the road from the train station which is very handy. Within walking distance to everywhere. The rooms are nice and newly decorated. They are also quite small but it was fine. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was good- decent hotel breakfast, good selection. I'd recommend this hotel.
