I recommend, it´s a simple Historic Old Hotel, with rooms large and clean. The breakfast is basic (not continental). The staff is very friendly, especially highlight the courtesy of Francesco of the reception. Good location, 2 min walk to the central train station and 10 minutes walk to the historic center.

Stayed here for a couple of days while in Florence. Did not like the breakfast but loved the staff and it's proximity to everything, shopping, duomo, train station, restaurants and all the cathedral and museums.

First room we were assigned reeked of cigarettes and was at least 85F degrees inside. We complained and were given a tolerable room. The front desk clerk on check in smelled of body odor and the night clerk had horrific breath. Really it's a run down dump and would try some place else. I would not stay again or recommend.
