I can definitely recommend this hotel. The people were super friendly and helpful booking a wine tour we were interested in. The room was spacious and clean, air conditioner worked, which was great bc it was about 85 when we were there in mid September. Shower was fine, although nothing to write home about, but for the price I think... More

This hotel is in a great location within an easy walk of the train station and the leather market. The rooms are decorated in "Florentine" style and have a fridge. Even though our room fronted the street (which buses thunder down) we slept well as the windows are very well glazed. The owners/staff at reception were really wonderful and helpful... More

All the staff were very helpful, polite and friendly and are a credit to the hotel. 5*Thanks! The buffet breakfasts although the same every day were good if a little unimaginative 3*. The room we were given was a bit depressing as it had a window that faced a small inner space, was overlooked by other rooms and was also... More

Stayed near the top floor in a room with a window opening to the street below. Great room, had a double bed and a single bed, modern and clean bathroom in the room, desk with chair, bedside table, and wardrobe closet. Location was about ten minute walk from train station and in the heart of the city. Only downside was... More

We booked this hotel through Octopus travel for three nights in the middle of September. On arrival mid afternoon we were advised that they had made a mistake with the dates and had actually booked us in for October!!!! They advised that they had transfered out booking to another Hotel nearby - La Residenza ( see seperate review) and they... More

We booked as part of a package (Cresta, UK). Info was limited, eg we wondered if we'd get a kettle and there was no clue as to breakfast etc. It's easily walkable from the railway station. On arrival we were welcomed warmly by staff well able to deal in English, and their attitude remained very good throughout the stay. They... More

The hotel main advantage is the central location. You can easily go everywhere. But.. The street is circulated. If you choose to keep window close it will not disturb an average person. The room was clean, but old styled. The air conditioning was noisy. The staff was pleasant but with an average-poor command of English. The breakfast was plenty!

Arriving by train we found the hotel easily on foot. It's only a short walk to the centre of florence and the River Arno is at the bottom of the street. When we arrived, the man at the desk photocopied our passports but never gave them back to us. When we went to the desk the next day to ask... More

Our three nights in Florence were ideal thanks to the Hotel Unicorno's prime location (5 min. to Central Train Station, 5 min to Duomo, even less to the river) its friendly and accommodating staff that placed us on the newly renovated 3rd floor and of course the more than fair prices. We spent over twice as much for a hotel... More
