Tasteful property. Free parking right outside the hotel, which is located right by the harbor. Friendly staff. Air conditioning needed some attention, but other than that no complaints at all. Much cheaper rates on weekdays compared to weekends.

Very nice hotel in old building, many rooms with marina view, breakfast room with overview of Ortigia. Nice breakfast, only a pity that eggs are not served before 8 am (we were on a business trip). Sufficient choice of cold items on breakfast buffet.

We dearly wanted to visit Syracusa and Ortigia, but failed on our last visit to Sicily. The hotel is somewhat dated, but nevertheless very comfortable. The parking won us over, as that's tricky on Ortigia. The Grand has a small parking lot opposite the front door – it claims to be the only hotel on the island with that.
