The convenient location is in the heart of Venice, behind the San Marco, nearby there are many restaurants and shops, close waterbus station, staff English speaking, friendly, good continental breakfast. The main contingent of europeans. Street in the evening time quiet and calm, isolated rooms, inside bathroom and toilet and all amenities. The price for such a hotel was acceptable.... More

Upon arrival the reception was very rude. Reservations were made online for a double bed room. The simple misunderstanding that there would be 2pax not one pax staying was received as if it was the biggest problem of the year. An additional cost was added for the additonal person, fine. Later, we found out that they charged double the "city... More

We are sorry to read the issues you had on your recent stay in our Hotel. Firstly , our staff would like to apologize for the rudeness, it's obvious that maybe there were some misunderstanding , because we never left people out at night or alone , and sometimes people may sign us as rude when we are simply pretty... We had a double private room as it was reserved. After reading some of the reviews here I was a bit concerned about the cleanliness and the bed bugs but I was actually positively surprised after the check-in. Fortunately We had a good experience. Not bed bugs at all. The room was clean enough and also the bed sheet. We... More

For me and my husband it was the first Europe visit. Venice was too good but the price that we paid for this dingy accomodation was exhorbitant. A small room with a bed gave hardly any place to stand, bathroom was sticking and the staff very unfriendly. The final straw in hat was when we saw the breakfast......cereals, jam, milk... More

We surely would be pleased to change your accomodation in a new room. Anyway, we did check the WC of your room and... More

We have spent 2 night there and it was really pleasant. The hotel looks like the same as it shown on the pictures, maybe the guy at the reception isn't same. We won this two night from hostelsclub. Thanks for them. So, the hotel is clean, relaxing and well equipped. And it is 2 or 5 minutes from St. Mark... More

This was the worst motel I have ever stayed and I have been in third world countries. There were 32 dead mosquitoes on the walls and ceilings. The hallway had a hole in the floor that was covered up with a square of carpet. It was disgustingly nasty. The doorframe to our room was broken. So, the door would not... More

We are really sorry you didn't enjoy your stay in our Hotel, Besides we'd like to add our reply to your comment. First of all we'd like to disagree with your 3rd world comparing , that is absolutely impolitic. We did check in every room but we never found 32 mosquitoes squashed on the walls ( did you really counted... More

The worst experience in Europe. I have traveled extensively and never found such a hotel. Its worse than some of the poky places in small towns of underdeveloped countries. The carpets was worn out on the staircases. The bathroom had moss all over the place. It was stinking. And to top it all the staff were not concerned at all... More

We'd like to express our condolences on reading that you didn't enjoy your stay in our Hotel. Anyway , starting from the comparison with "undeveloped countries" that is really inopportune, we'd like to add our reply to your comment...there's no moss in the bathrooms , no worn carpets and no smell. ( we remind you that Venice lagoon has this... More

Expedia said this hotel had air conditioning, an elevator and free wi-fi. No it didn't. And if I didn't clean a ton of hair out of the shower drain, the water would still be standing there. The included breakfast consisted of 'no-name' corn flakes with room-temperature milk. Sleep in the street before you stay here...you'll be more comfortable - and... More

We are really sorry to read your unsatisfied comment about our establishment. We'd like to reply at your declarations , because we found some issues on them. Hotel Astoria is not on expedia , our management never subscribed there, so it's clear that you read comforts and services of a different hotel. Hotel Astoria doesn't have an elevator, no A/C... This Hotel was in the middle of all the shops in Venice. Conviently located. Great Value good price for a room that accomodated 4 people. It had nice windows in the room that looked down to shops very nice views. The beds were comfortable the only downfall only 1 person was able to take a warm shower in the morning... More

Not worth the price. Too many alternatives available for the same cost with much better accommodations.
