A gem located on a quiet lane just 5 minutes walk from the San Samuele Canal stop. So convenient to get to all the major sites. A variety of shops and restaurants in every direction. What a treat to sit at breakfast with a view of the lovely courtyard and its amazing roses. The hotel is beautifully maintained, our rooms... More

The Domus Ciliota is very easy to get to from the nearest waterbus stop.(San Samuele). It took about 5 mins (with cases) and no bridges or steps. They had emailed us instructions in advance. All hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Most had spoke better english than us! Room was of ample size, clean and comfortable. There are nice... More

The travel dates was between the 14th and 18th of April of 2012. I've offered a surprise trip to Venice to my wife as her birthday occasion and had choosed this hotel based on it's comments, location and price. First of all, if you want a decent hotel room with a bathroom and located in the center of Venice be... More

The hotel was close to the centre of Venice however was not in the centre of the typical Venetian crowds. The hotel staff were helpful, the room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. The added bonus of a lift and free wifi ensured it was good value for money. The hotel was a former convent with several sitting... More

The rooms and facilities are very well maintained, and the staff at Domus Ciliota are exceedingly gracious and helpful ... once you find them and check in. So I encourage you not to give up if they don't respond to your email or their website seems to malfunction. Instead, call them to make a reservation, and come prepared with the... More

It took us a while to find this place. The entrance is located in a small road with a sheet of paper saying "instituto ciliota" stuck in front. Spacious breakfast place, but insufficient choice in the breakfast buffet. Rooms were clean and adequate. Free wifi. Location close to water ferry stations. There is a good and cheap Italian resteraunt nearby... More

We were 2 friends staying for a week in Venice. This was one of the few hotels that had 2 single beds. The room had air conditioning which we werent expecting but was great. Breakfast was good. Internet was free but we could only get in the lobby. Staff was friendly and able to accommodate us for an extra day... More

It was a nice place and rooms are surprinsigly big for European standards. Location was fantastic but it was so difficult to find initially!! Staff was very helpful though, so just make sure you ring the hotel upon your arrival to get instructons on how to get there as it is not nice to be unwillingly lost in the maze... More

It was not my first time in Venice but was my first staying longer of one day. For that reason we were sure about location and what we need from place to stay. We choose Domus Ciliota on private recommendation, satisfied with price (it was best offer of very expensive Venice in Easter week), location and info’s. Domus Ciliota is... More

I spent two weeks in Italy in October and November of 2011. After reading many reviews I decided to give Domus Ciliota a try since it was comparatively reasonable cost wise and had many good reviews. We stayed two nights. As another author has noted, this is a rather basic choice in lodging. On the plus side, the hotel seemed... More
