Hidden away behind the Doges Palace is the Ca' dei Dogi. It is very small but the rooms are pretty, modern, and the overall value is great. Stefano recommended a great wine bar called Enoteca Mascaretta which we somehow managed to find in the pouring rain. Book well in advance to secure a room as they go fast.
