We stayed here for one night and the experience was good. Room was really spacious but the shared bathroom was small. The caretaker was very helpful however there is no reception desk in this place. The caretaker left the place at around 8PM and returned next morning. So not much assistance available at night. The breakfast was pretty good. At... More

My room was directly above a very, very loud bar. Music thumping away until past 1am on Saturday and still going strong at 22.30 on Sunday night with no sign of stopping. According to the hotel staff, the music stops at about half ten on Saturdays and is closed on Sundays which is clearly untrue. The room benefits from the... More

Al Palazzo Lion Morosini didn't have great reviews when I booked it but it was a pleasant surprise when I visited. Nothing in Venice is new and neither is this place. It sits majestically right on the left hand side before Rialto Bridge coming from Piazzale Roma on vaporetto No 1. The room was huge, bed comfortable the bathroom spottless... More

We were a family of 4 (couple and 2 small boys) and had booked a room for 4. They gave us 2 rooms with a small shared bathroom. The rooms were very hot with no AC and we couldn't leave the windows open since they faced the public area and we had no privacy. After complaining, they gave us a... More

Because of this BB - I loved Venice.. Perfect location. The rooms are a bit small, but I expected that - being that it's Europe. The rooms are small and cute - however, I don't really know how to take a shower in it's small tub. But other than that, it was probably the best BB I've been to in... More

The Venezians are famous for their arragand behaviour. Try this hotel & you will have the best example. It took nearly 1 week for them to answer my request and then I was told they would not give me the room I had booked. The Annes is not as nice as the main building but when you book you think... My friends and I decided that we wanted a quick weekend break at the end of our exams seeing as everyone else still hadn't finished their own. We arrived quite late at night and found the hotel hard to find but some happy italians directed us to it as there is a popular bar just underneath the hotel. The man... More

My wife and I booked 3 nights at this place. I was Suspicious when the booking form stated that we would be in the Guest House annexe, not the main building, with external bathroom. It is not an annexe it is an apartment, the letter boxes next to the door were a clue. The bed was 2 single mattresses pushed... More

We were looking forward to 4 days and 3 nights in Venice at the Al Palazzo Lion Morosini, which was reasonably easy to find (with a map) and superbly situated adjacent to the Rialto bridge and a short walk from most of the major sites, bars and restaurants. Unfortunately after paying on arrival we were shown to our room in... More

The Palazzo Lion Morosini, is actually much more modest than the grandeur of its title. Since the 12th Century it has housed aristocrats, regency and us; a couple of Brits. Hardly the stuff of a romantic novel, but we found it very easy to get into the swing of Venetian life. After all, with a 'local' below the Palazzo, it's... More
