We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Ca' Zanardi and Venice, helped enormously by Andrea and his great friendliness, helpfulness and cheerfulness - we had the impression that he enjoyed his guests enjoying themselves! We had a huge double room, en suite and dressing room - lots of period features and furniture and the whole building was just ... Venice (old,... More

Andrea and his team gave us such a warm welcome to Venice. He gave great recomendations on what to see and where to eat. The location was so central and easy to find. The cost was great value for our 3 nights stay. Our room(1 of 5 rooms on the top floor) was wonderful including original furniture from the palace.... More

The location is great: 20 min away from the railway from one side and 20 min walk to San Marco from the other. Ca Zanardi is run by Andrea and his family who live and work there. The property is magnificient, spacious and museum-like. We stayed in the end of October so it often rained and we didn't have the... More

Very friendly people but facilities were pretty basic. Beds were quite uncomfortable. Bathroom was not en suite and the shower was weak and swung from red hot to cold. Opposite our room was a school which opened around 7.30 am even on Saturday with some pretty noisy kids so dont expect a lie in. Visit Venice around every 2 years... More

We have stayed in Venice a few times and I chose this residence based on the glowing reviews and was really looking forward to my stay.In hindsight it probably was not the best night to stay as the owner was not only attending a best friend's wedding and was not really on-site but the wedding reception was also being hosted... Ca Zanardi is a lovely Venetian palace restyled into a residence for travelers. On our trip, 3 couples shared the 3 bedroom apartment, which was huge. The living area itself was palatially large. There was a very nice and well-equipped kitchen. Those staying in smaller rooms without kitchens have a complimentary continental breakfast. The balcony was very large and had... More

We have just returned from 7 wonderful days in this beautiful Venetian palace and are already missing it. Andrea the host is lovely and welcoming and makes you feel as though you are friends being invited to stay. It's informal, relaxing and unpretentious. We stayed 7 nights and were given what felt like a stately period apartment consisting of a... More

We visited Venice during the easter weekend as last stop of our visit to italy. It was a nice old place with history, by history I mean a BIG room (unlike the regular hotel rooms), old furniture, wallpaper and carved doors, unusual colours like gold and pastel green - totally antique - I just loved everything about the room interiors.... Old doors, old rooms, old furniture, old Hospitality exactly what you should expect in one of the most Beautiful old cities of the world. Old English expression Bloody wonderful. Great location just far enough away from the sights. Unexpectedly better breakfast than I was expecting ( after reading other reports ) Just politely ask and Andrea and his staff would... More
