We booked this hotel after trawling through the choice of thousands for our first visit to Venice. We opted for a suite (room 63), as the cost was econmical against other prices we reviewed. The hotel also included breakfast. Venice is a labyrinth and this hotel, as it turned out, was quite straight forward. On arrival at the doorway you... More

We stayed two nights in early July in this hotel and it was lovely. Very helpful and friendly staff. Big room. Quiet part of town. Nice breakfast and a lovely roof top bar with a great view. I'll be back asap

Small hotel with great location. Central but not in a too crowded street. Little minus is that room sold as "superior room with balcony" actually just had a french window or in some instances not even that. Owner did not seem to think that this was in any way his responsibility. Otherwise nice and friendly service. Room was small but... More

Situated at a corner near St Marco's square, near the central shopping area of Venice, this hotel is definitely good value. Guests would have to walk up a flight of stairs to the reception. Internet connection was fast and the room decent with the usual amenities. Breakfast was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Otherwise no other complaints and... More

My husband and I just went for a 3 nights stay in Venice and stayed at Hotel Mercurio. I recommend this hotel to everyone who wish to stay in central Venice, it is only 1 min walk to St Mark square and very near Rialto Bridge as well. Our room was the first one you find when you enter the... More

Great location, we had the canal-side suite, which was basically a separate flat, with three tall windows overlooking the gondolas passing under the bridge. Once you stop getting lost walking around Venice ;) this is 5 min walk to the main attractions. Good breakfast too.

A short walk from San Marco Square and all the water taxis. Close to shops and restaurants. My only complaint was the stairs in the hotel. They were steep, and there were lots of them. I was on a top floor and had to lug my wheeled suitcase up and down as I stayed twice with a trip to Croatia... More

We stayed 3 nights 17-20fFEB 2013 I had booked it as a birthday present for my boyfriend who had always wanted to visit Venice. As far as location goes couldn't have picked a better central loacation - right in the centre on San Marco and literally round the corner from La Fenice Theatre! I booked a Superior Double with canal... More

I stayed 4 nights at Hotel Mercurio. The location is excellent and few minutes walking to San Marco. I walked everywhere from the hotel. It is a bit hard to locate however I had an excellent stay. I had double bed room and bathroom and it was neat and clean and I also had a window/balcony for fresh air. The... More
