The hotel is close to San Marco in an excellent central location. When we checked in we were allocated a room in the annexe (Querini) about 50 yards away from the main hotel. The room (no.611) was very small with no drawer space whatsoever; there was just a cupboard containing the safe, mini bar and a clothes rail. While the... More

Dear Guests, I am really sorry if your staying was not perfect. My apologize for breakfast service. Breakfast time is from 7:30 to 10:30 but we always prepare breakfast also if the clients arrive late. So I will check personally with my staff why the eggs was not hot and bacon was not prepared again. The size of the room... More

The hotel is quite hidden away; whilst it does mean its nice and quiet, it is also difficult to find. However, if you take the Vaporetto to San Zaccarria, you can follow the hotel's directions and reach the hotel without the need to go over any bridges, with the exception of the hotel's own bridge. We foolishly treated ourselves to... More

I was very concerned planning my stay in Venice as several people had poor experiences and worrisome stories but we really wanted to be close to St Marks Square and not on another island . The hotel was picturesque ,close to St Marks ,with completely updated amenities and very clean. The staff was very courteous and friendly .We arrived early... More

This hotel wasn't perfect but I would recommend it. The location was perfect in San Marco - just a one minute or so walk to some great restaurants. Easy walk to Rialto bridge, St. Marks basilica and more. It was very difficult to find as others have posted, people were very nice along the way and helped us find it.... More

PROS - Large elegant room overlooking a small canal - Great location just 400m from St.Mark’s square - Breakfast was in the small breakfast room on the ground floor – it got a bit cramped but it had a good selection of food including cereal and pastries. Bacon & eggs were an extra charge CONS - WiFi was available but... More

I specifically requested a room in the annex across the street at the back of the lobby as recommended by another reviewer. The room was quite large and included a kitchenette as well as a private outdoor patio. The breakfast was enjoyable and the front desk staff was very accomodating to our requests. Although we were only there one night,... More

I was in Italy for a total of 10 days staying at 4 hotels. This was my last city and last hotel on the trip. My friend and I heard great things about Venice and we were very excited about our stay in Venice. This was the worst hotel out of all the hotels we stayed in Italy. Our room... More

Dear Guests, refer to your reviews I am sorry that your staying was not comfortable. Anyway, let me try to explain you that air conditioning system can not work during the time of your staying(in Italy the heating has to be stopped from 15/04/2012). Also if you staied in our hotel last Aprile the weather was rainy and cold. Our... More

Our first impression of this hotel was a bit strange. We were about to be taken to a room and the concierge said something in Italian about the room being "open." After sitting for about 10 minutes, we were taken to a clean, pretty room. We like it, but upon returning to it in the evening, discovered the street outside... More

I booked our weekend away through Citrus Travel (via Travel Zoo) and was persuaded to 'upgrade' to this hotel as it was 'authentic and full of character'. Then I read the very mixed reviews on Trip Advisor but decided to be positive although I did make a note of the least favourable rooms. Unfortunately, the first room we were shown... More

Dear guests, thanks for your comment. My apologize if the first room was not comfortable as you expected. I gave you my business card so next time you need an upgrade you can contact me in advance. Sometimes the travel agency do not take note of all your request or they will not contact us. In this case we are... More
