Avoid the hustle-bustle of the main island by staying in the lido. Just a short water bus trip to the sights. Russo palace is a small and friendly hotel with nice modern room (not large but adequate) and good service. Some rooms have the odd plumbing issue but on the whole this is a good choice.

The hotel is quite well located in Lido island. Lido island is peacefull island just outside the centrum of Venice. Stayed for 4 nights, great service, friendly staff. Stayed on the first floor and the balcony had a great view of the Lagoon. Very quiet and Clean, would highly recommend. Only a five minute walk to the Ferry and a great choice of cafes and restaurants
