We have just returned from staying at the San Giorgio in Venice on our first trip there and have to say we would highly recommend this hotel. Yes it is fairly small but you can't fault the cleanliness of the rooms. It is very traditionally decorated but spotless. The staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We... More

In the economy room, there is not a shower stall. It is merely a shower head and drain on the floor between the toilet and sink. Further our room only had one very small window giving it a dungeon like feel despite being on the second floor. Finally this part of town has a stronger damp sewage smell than other... More

For the price and location, it is one of a catch in Venice and easily accessible from the ferry stop of St. Angelo. The decoration done up with a touch of Venetian Style so if there's anyone who is looking for it with an affordable pricing, look no further. The room is small and clean but come again, very few... I stayed in a "single room" (two single beds in a narrow little room) for two nights in July 2011. Perfectly adequate for me as a solo traveller, however, I wouldn't be so keen to squeeze two people in there. I was very impressed with the quality of the service from the front desk. I was always greeted warmly and... More

Basic hotel, very clean & sophisticated, but small room & the smallest bathroom I've used ever. Very friendly staff & very helpful. Enriquo advised us on restaurants, goldola & things to do which was very apt. The hotel/room decor was interesting with printed color wallpapers giving royal look. No elevator but we only stayed 2nd floor. The hotel is a... More

Such a nice little hotel that's actually quite central to all the sites in Venice. The staff and management were most obliging and there was something to suite all tastes at breakfast. Rooms were kept spotlessly clean with lovely white fluffy bath towels, the shower rooms were a tad dated, but as most of the buildings are fairly old it... More

I stayed in Hotel San Giorgio for three nights in July 2011. When we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly receptionist. The check-in went smoothly and efficiently. The gentleman also gave us a city map immediately, which I found very nice. Our hotel room, number 15 (standard double), was quite compact but nicely furbished in "baroque" style, which... More

We stayed at this hotel between the 27/06 through to the 01/07. The hotel is in a great location and walking distance between the Rialto Bridge and San Marco Square. Then hotel staff were helpful every time we came into contact with them and the breakfast was great before setting off for a full day of exploring. The hotel even... More

We found the San Giorgio to be a great little hotel, the staff were welcoming and friendly and our room not as small as we had maybe expected. The air con was very welcome as the weather was fantastic and very warm. The bathroom like some other visitors had commented on was a little tired although spotlessly clean it could... More

We arrived into Marco Polo airport and wanted to buy tickets for the water bus. As we were unsure about which stop to get off at, we showed the lady at the ticket office a map of where the hotel was. She looked up from counting her money, simply said 'dont know' then carried on counting her money. Thankfully the... More
