Hotel Santo Stefano is a lovely, quaint hotel. The interior of the rooms is something else! Wall to wall decor of Red and gold with Bed covers to match. I gather this is Venetian in style. It gave the room this very cosy feel. The room was rather small for a double room and the shower cubicle was not designed... More

What an amazing hotel in perfect location. Not for your minimalist decor visitors, elegant and sumptious. Have just returned after the worst flooding since 66, unfortunately the hotel did suffer, but owner was so helpful. I agree that the room was small, as was the shower, but who needs space with the decor and the steam shower!

Though my sister and I did not stay long, we were completely satisfied. The rooms are small and, yes, the shower is even smaller, but that should not be surprising. The room was very clean and the bathroom updated. The location is within walking distance of most major tourist sites and the area is much less busy than many areas.... More

We enjoyed our stay here. Centrally located and fabulous sites close by. The rooms are clean and well presented. The rooms are not large but the location makes up for that. Staff friendly and helpful.

This Hotel is marvelous. Friendly staff, clean rooms, close to the main touristic points in Venice, surrounded by good restaurants and Pasticerias. Perfect! We loved it! We will definately come back.

Had a five day break here, enjoyed it a lot. Hotel is ideally situated on San Stefano Square, surrounded by restaurants, bars, and the best ice cream parlour in Venice next door. Good having breakfast sat outside in the square watching Venetian life pass you by as you had your coffee and croissants. Air con was essential while we were... More

We enjoyed our three nights at Santo Stefano a great deal. The room was opulently decorated with red and gold brocade on the walls, draperies, and bedspread. It appears that the place has been recently renovated. The bathroom is fabulous, with body jets in the shower. The AC works well and there is free wi-fi in the small lobby. The proprietor... More

We arrived in Venice and after a quick vaparetto ride we found our way to the perfectly sited Hotel Santo Stefano. We booked this hotel by using Karen Brown's Italy guidebook and she was absolutely correct on how perfect it's location is. The plazzo is surrounded by restaurants and is used by families with small children playing in the late... More
