This hotel is not cheap, but seems good value compared with other places in Venice. It is in a very good location facing a little canal that leads into the Grand Canal, so you can see the Grand if you have a room at the front but it is not too noisy. The location is great, slightly away from the... More

This is a good location near Accademia bridge. Rooms are nice and the gated outdoor gardens and internal common areas make it a relaxing oasis in a busy city. Good service and complementary refreshments during the day. 24 hours of internet was a $1 euro add-on - versus 60 cents a minute on the cruise ship. Would definitely stay here... More

We stayed two nights at this wonderful little pensione (29 rooms) prior to boarding a cruise. The location is very close to the Accademia bridge, one of two bridges over the Grande Canal, which puts you in walking distance from St. Marks square but keeps you out of the high price, crowded area around ST. Marks. The rooms are clean, with... More

Great location close to the Grand Canal but away from the crowds. Much more residential area than where you normally find hotels, but a very nice hotel. Across the small canal from Taverna San Trovaso, which does tasty take-out orders. If you walk south to the water, you find the promenade where many Ventians catch sun and gelato in the... More

My husband and I began our stay at Pensione Accademia by taking a private water taxi (vaporetto) right to the back steps of this charming hotel.(the private taxi did cost approx. 100 Euros but we treated ourselves to the shorter ride and door to door service). The staff was there to greet us and take our bags. The hotel does... More

I stayed here with a friend and with it being so central and within walking distance of most of the sights of Venice it was ideal. The staff were professional and very helpful. Also a plus is that it has its own landing pier - very handy. One word of caution - breakfast outside in the terrace/garden is beautiful but... More

Ideal location great decor and a superb breakfast of scrambled egg cereals pastries and toast. Make sure you ask the cappuccino rather than coffee for a wonderful drink to start the day

Venice is small - easy to walk anywhere, from anywhere, so it is not necessary to be in the Piazza San Marco area, as some reviews suggest. Pensione Accademia is very close to the Accademia bridge and its Vaparetto stop ( BTW, you should definitely buy a Vaparetto pass for the duration of your visit, and you can do so... More

We stayed here before a Mediterranean cruise. The staff was extremely friendly and professional. They speak English which really helps! The breakfast spread was quite impressive. They offer both American and European breakfast buffets. All fresh, all delicious. The small windows in your room open up over the small canal and it is like waking up in the Venetian dream... More

Usually in Venice, lodging plays second fiddle to the city’s magical sights; that was certainly the case during my first visit when I stayed at a non-descript hostel as a college student. This time, almost 25 years later on a trip with my husband and two kids, my main regret is that we didn’t stay longer, so we could have... More
