I booked Residenza CaMalipiero thinking it was a Venetian Palace turned into a family run guesthouse. It is an historical building - an old Palace but it isn't a family run guesthouse. Nonetheless if you know what you are in for, the Residenza Ca Malipiero can be a interesting experience. The building is ancient and has not seen any renovation... More

Very difficult to find. Maybe it's because Venice is easy to get turned around in, but we spent 2.5 hours trying to find the place. When we found it, it was very nice like the pictures, but when we went to get our room we were walked to a different building and it was much less glamorous. Breakfast was standard... More

Even witout a lift and not that big rooms the hotel was very nice and well located but the BIG problem was that we where downgraded, I reserved a Standard room with private bathroom and got a very small room with shared bathroom, we had to pay the same because it was prepaid, and they did not gave us the... I need more circles to the left to rate it lower. Horrible "Standard" room at a horrible price. Could not stand upright in the bathroom due to low ceilings and rough beams. Room appeared to be maids quarters, through a curtain behind check in desk. After MUCH complaining was moved to a larger room the next day. Packed the few... More

Myself ,my wife, brother and his wife stayed in this hotel for two nights when we were in Venice at the start and end of our cruise. It was booked as a total package including cruise through a local travel agent. We all agreed that this was one of the worst hotels we ever stayed in. I had read the... More

I was really looking forward to this Hotel as it looked absolutely beautiful on the website. We were staying here for the last three days of our Italian holiday and it was dreadful. We could not get into the hotel as there was no answer to the buzzer. Eventually the manager arrived and let us in, we then had to... More

My wife and I stayed here 3 days in Sept. The location is good; close to most sights. It is a bit hard to find since no exterior sign except a small plaque on the door. As noted in other reviews, the entrance is by electric buzzer into an empty lobby with reception on 3rd floor. The main building is... More

Not professionnally run, no services available. Superior Rooms are large, air conditionning barely working. This place will be a nightmare for anyone hating steep staircases. Yield management with hurrendous rack rates applicable in peak season, whenever Venice is mostly attractive.

They advertise nice rooms but put you virtually in a cupboard in an attic. Very hard to find. No remote for air con. No bathroom in room - it's down the hall and around a corner. Staff don't care and reminded us quickly that they do no refunds. This place is such a disappointment. Oh and the wifi does not... More
