To choose a hotel in Venice was thought, we searched more than 50 choices and finally decided to stay at the Santa Marina. This is a small cozy hotel located close to the Rialto and Piaza San Marco, it has a dock so you can use a taxi boat or if you prefer you can walk four blocks from the... More

Stayed here for a long weekend with some girlfriends. Found we were in the annexe and not all together. Our room was very spacious with a small lounge area which we used for our pre-dinner drinkies although the others were in small-ish rooms. Sadly, though no wi-fi available in the annexe. Hotel is on a lovely quiet square. Breakfast was... More

Wasn't sure what to expect but we were so happy we stayed here! We took the a water taxi over from the airport that dropped us right off at the hotel's dock. Didn't want to risk walking from the Rialto water bus stop since we didn't know where we were. The hotel is charming, there is free wifi in the... More

My husband and I loved this hotel. The only con was that it was tricky to find. It might be worth pre-arranging with the hotel for someone to meet you at the rialto bridge stop to walk you over. At night, it's a bit of a walk and through dark alleys, but unless you're right in the tourist mix, you'll... More

two single beds pushed together and no fitted sheet made for 2 uncomfortable nights. air con did not work and mosquitoes invaded through the open window which was necessary. Shower leaked all over the bathroom floor and breakfast was dreadful. Venice was sublime so fortunately did not put us off!

We stayed at this hotel for a 3 day mid week break. Like Venice it is compact and traditional. The room was small, but it was once a convent, so it was expected. The Television only showed the BBC world service and CNN, the air conditioning would have warmed the room, but not cooled it, luckily it was not hot... More

I was in Venice on a girl's trip and stayed at the Santa Marina Hotel, which is about a 3 minute walk to the Rialto Bridge but on a very quiet square. I travel a lot in Europe, and this was one of the most lovely hotels I have visited in Europe! I was incredibly impressed with the large, beautiful... More

We managed to book this hotel only one day before we arrived Venice on Good Friday (Easter 2012). The pics online showed a nice hotel with relatively kitsch but romantic interior. In our case, the first impression given by the photo gallery online was correct. Our room had furnitures and curtains from the last century, but this actually gave it... More

We booked a deluxe room and they downgraded us when we arrived. It was impossible to get what we paid for and they didn't paid us the difference back. The rooms are dusty and never see the sun, so they are full of mites. So it's not safe for people with allergies. For breakfast, they served the frozen croissant of... More

Quite location, few minutes away from Ponte Rialto and San Marco. A lot of places to eat and drink near the hotel. Great location. We have a big room with beautifull furniture (wood with marble - great combination). Not all rooms have a view. No free internet in rooms only in hotel loby. Beautifull flowers over all hotelțs loby. Bathroom... More
