My wife and I are travelling through Europe, we booked this hotel using Marriiott points. We enjoyed it so much, we extended our stay from 2 days to 5 days. The hotel and staff are full of old world charm. The building dates from the 1600s and was originally a palace, then a consulate and also a monastery. It has... More

We needed a holiday quickly so booked the night before 6 hours later we were at Manchester airport on our way to Venice for a few days. We loved it. Its a place to be seen, the atmosphere is fantastic no cars, its so calm and just what we needed as we were so stressed we just needed a break!... More

We were in Venice for a few day prior to a cruise - This hotel is in a residential area - quiet & beautiful with an unbelievable garden. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. The room was spacious and warm - with beautiful murano glass. The bathroom was also luxurious. The staff was so welcoming and accomodating... More

Wow! As an American traveling anywhere in Europe - you don't expect a grand room - nice, clean and safe is usually what we get. This place blew us away. It's in a quiet residential area of Venice (away from the craziness - but close enough to get anywhere you need to go - they have a complimentary water taxi... More

I stayed at this property as part of a Globus tour for 2 nights. The only property in Venice with a HUGE english garden to stroll in or sit in! It is a bit on the edge of Venice...but isn't the charm of going there to walk around and explore?! The rooms are large and the bathrooms are spectacular...marble, large,... More

We stayed at this hotel on the Best of Italy Globus 11 day tour in mid Sep 2011. Remember when you are out of your normal surroundings things are different. They will not be the same as you are use to. Take it with a grain of salt and make the best of it. Hotels and food are not what... More

On our two week tour of Italy, this was our favorite hotel. We were in the back building and our room was practically in the water - what amazing views. The room was large and beautifully appointed with a chandelier and a rare (for Italy) king-sized bed. It was so quiet - actually, too quiet because both mornings we did... More

We really enjoyed this hotel. It's quiet, in Cannaregio, you enter into a spacious atrium with Venetium glass chandeleirs. We liked the fact that it's off the beaten track, a thirty minute walk from St Mark's Square. We took the launch once but walked the rest of the time. Our room faced the canal, a delightful site when we woke... More

This hotel was booked for us as a part of a package deal, which we chose because it included return home on the Orient Express. We were quite happy that the hotel was in a quiet area as they advertised they had a private launch to ferry guests to the Piazza San Marco. Unfortunately, the week we were there, the... More
