We stayed at the Continental with a tour group. It has a beautiful lobby that fronts the busy street from the train station as well as the Grand Canal. Our room was large and had a nice tub, but we got twin beds. The only other drawback was that it was accessed through an impressively labyrinthine series of corridors and... More

This hotel is really beautiful. We had a room on the top of this castle of mazes and, yes, did get lost trying to find it again the first night. Thought people would find us asleep in the hallway, we were so lost. I think that added to the excitement of our stay. It is so close to everything and... More

This hotel really feels like Italy. This is comfortable hotel in the middle of the action. Our room did not have a bidet, though my friends and others did have one in their room. They had a very small shower, too small to shave you legs. There are lots of stairs and some of my friends got lost trying to... More

Four of us travelling together stayed in 2 rooms in the hotel. We had booked almost a year ago through a hotel booking site when we saw it at a good price. The hotel did not disappoint us. It was only a 5 minute walk from the train station with no bridges to cross. The luggage storage system at the... More

Older hotel with an interior that is truly a maze, making it difficult for the older members of our group to get around. The interior rooms are less than desirable, so I highly suggest requesting a room with a view of the Grand Canal. Location is fine....it's Venice so you won't likely spend a lot of time in the room.... More

Aside from being in one of the most amazing and frequently visited cities in the world, this hotel is well-located within the city limits. It is very close to the train and bus terminals (approximately 5 minute walk), which is a huge benefit when you consider the narrow cobble-stone streets and hundreds of bridges/steps in town. It is also situated... More

Everything is good: location, breakfast, service etc However, the room is not sound-proof and next room's activity affects a lot. Also, the bed is not comfortable and looks like it's a used mattress being used.

Could not have done better. A class 3 star hotel for any traveller. Highly recommended. Top marks on all counts - location ,service, cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff. The breakfast too was excellent. Look no further.

This hotel was fine for our purpose. As expected it was old and tired and the rooms smelt a little musty ( expected after all look where you are!) but is was so central only a short walk to almost anywhere you would like to see.

The Continental Hotel Venice is a perfect place to stay, an easy walk from St Lucia station and easy walking to the Rialto Bridge with the markets and shops along the way.Easy to catch the ferry to St Marks Square, rooms spacious, restaurant excellent, staff very helpful, would stay again
