We spent five nights on our skiing holiday in Pilier d'angle. We had a half board. This is not a design hotel but warmly family run, a little oldfashioned and cosy hotel. Breakfast was ok and the dinner typical local, not bad at all. Rooms are pretty small and old, but clean. The view was exellent; towards Monte Bianco/Mont Blanc.... More

Lovely little, family run hotel. I'm surprised at the previous reviewer saying there was no welcoming atmosphere - Lucca the barman/manager/comedian could not have been friendlier and helpful and certainly the owner was delightful. Maybe they had seen the review? There were boiled eggs available for breakfast if asked for as was fantastic cappuchino - and the hot chocolate was... More

GOOD Enjoyed the character/style of hotel. Great Christmas eve dinner, all dinners were very good - very italian - restaurant staff friendly and helpful. GOOD Spa was good - an additional 15 euro per visit. OK Breakfast options bit ltd for european guests - no hot options (no boiled egg or toast even) all continental style - fair enough! COULD... I have had my wedding here. It was low season, so the hotel was practically all for us The hotel is beautiful, the view is fantastic (even from the lunch room), there is plenty of space to easily handle many guests (the lounge was a really precious space). We did here both the night stay for the guests and ourselves... More

One of th)e nicest ski hotels we have stayed in. Rooms are very spacious (and very warm!). Clean bathrooms and rooms. Very basic breakfast but served until 10pm (rolls, ham, cheese etc). Evening meals (if half board) were ok, plenty of food but the Al a Carte looked a lot nicer. Nice friendly staff, big bar with TV and sofas.... More

We stayed here along with 2 other couples for 4 nights in 2007. While the hotel is not going to win any design awards, we found it a warm, inviting place with good service and above average food. We booked as a part of a ski package and were on half board (breakfast and dinners included, not alcohol). Whenever we... More
