A friend and I booked a holiday with Mark Warner at the Cristallo having both skied in Courmayeur before, and my friend having stayed at the Cristallo, though neither of us having organised it with Mark Warner. Knowing we were going during the final week of the season we were prepared for limited snow and were also aware that Courmayeur... More

I just came back from a week at the Mark Warner run hotel Cristallo. The hotel is tired and in need if some work. Everything you need is there and some rooms have tubs which is nice to relax in after skiing all day. Some rooms also have balconies. The rooms on the higher floors did get very hot. Even... More

Although the Mark Warner Chalet Hotel is getting a little tired, the enthusiasm and cheerfulness of the staff make up for any minor issues (like the TV having no English channels). George manages the team superbly and the ski hosts, Luke and Kim could not be more helpful. Start the day with a smile from Charlie and even the minus... More

Good holiday in this Mark Warner chalet hotel. Comfortable rooms. We didn't notice any problem with paper-thin walls. Good food, willing and helpful staff. The lift was out of action much of the week, much to the frustration of the maintainence man, who did his best. I would go there again

A Mark Warner chalethotel. Good staff and food. Rooms o.k. The sat/cable tv doesn't have any english-speaking channels ... Mark Warner won't pay for the subscriptions. Paper thin bedroom walls; I was lucky that as a one-off, the hotel was mostly occupied by of one like-minded group all week. Some unlucky fellow skiers were woken by the same selfish three... More

Just spent a week here with a group of friends on a skiing holiday. Hotel is a bit scruffy, but warm with comfortable beds and lots of hot water even when everyone is showering/bathing at the end of the day. Lots of food, excellent tea when you come in off the slopes. Skiing is great for intermediates, not so good... More

I admit, I was worried. No recent reviews, and quite a few negative old ones. Courmayeur the village - quaint and beautiful, not at all purpose built. Just gorgeous. Although only a handful of bars and restaurants the quality is great. Shopping is very good - upscale and classy. Access to ski - the gondola is a very short walk... More

The staff do their best, but the hotel walls are very thin, so the rooms are very noisy. I was in a single room, right over the bar. Do not expect to sleep before midnight, unless you are a heavy sleeper or have taken wax ear plugs!

The hotel has some character in public areas.Bedroom on 3rd floor was clean, but in need of refurbishment. There was fabric stapled to the wardrobe doors, as many different woods as you could fit in one room, hilarious light fittings! The staff in the hotel worked very hard, and were generally friendly/sociable. It is a good team, which helps to... More

Having just returned from a 7-day trip to Courmayeur I can fully endorse the review below but I wanted to add my 2 pennies worth anyhow and chose to focus on the resort and the ski pass choices. Overview Great for a few days but boring and repetitive there after. Take the chance to escape to La Thuile – it’s... More
