Really good hotel for skiing in Courmayeur, probably the best one. Our room was on the top floor and not a renvovated one which made look like from early 80's. Just back from a few days ski-ing in Courmayeur, fabulous snow and weather, and an excellent time. This Hotel has some positives, primarily its location on the Via Roma and its only 5 minutes walk from the main cable car. I quite liked the large bar/lounge area also. Maybe the poorest 5 star hotel in the world. Breakfast was pathetic. Eggs cold both days. The spa and gym must be from the 1970s. Decrepit at best. Been to Courmayeur last year...as every year I travel to Italy...location lovely...read about Grand hotel...must say: realy nice...and nice spa...interiors not really my cup of tea and staff could have been trained better, but i enjoyed the rooms and the atmosphere.
